Last year, Joy and Nick had gorgeous summer wedding at The Manor House at Prophecy Creek in Ambler, PA. When I first met with Joy to take about her wedding photography, I knew it was going to be a special day! The had planned to get married in the fall but postponed their wedding plans when Joy was diagnosed with cancer. Joy courageously took on breast cancer and today is cancer survivor, she is a thriver! Joy and Nick ready overcame more than some couples face in a lifetime. Their wedding day was a deep celebration of what they overcame in the past and all the beautiful things that lay ahead in the future.
As a documentary wedding photographer, I was really excited to capture the joy and emotion of Nick and Joy’s wedding day. I had been to The Manor House at Prophecy Creek before; however it was my first time photographing a wedding there. I was blown away by how beautiful the grounds are and how kind the staff was. Even when unexpected rain came pouring down during the outdoor wedding ceremony, it could not stop the joy of this beautiful day. Everyone headed inside and the ceremony was restarted as quickly as the weather had turned. Thankfully, they rain was short lived. Afterwards, we had the opportunity to take photos in the sunshine.

Planning a wedding takes a lot of work and time. It’s understandable that the thought it raining on your wedding day can cause stress. However, Joy and Nick showed that when you focus on celebrating your love nothing can defer your joy. Thank you Joy and Nick for letting me be a part of your spectacular wedding day!
